We honour your service.
You shouldn’t pay a cent.
If you hold a DVA Gold Card or White Card, your physiotherapy is fully covered – no gap, no out-of-pocket costs. PhysioCentral is a registered DVA provider and we bill the Department of Veterans’ Affairs directly on your behalf.
Whether you’re managing a service-related injury, a long-term condition, or simply need to get moving again – our team is here to help, and we’ll handle all the paperwork so you don’t have to.

What our patients worry about
π Too much paperwork
We handle DVA treatment plans, referral requirements and billing – you just show up.
πΈ Out-of-pocket costs
We accept your DVA card as full payment. No gap fees, ever.
πͺ Am I eligible?
Gold Card or White Card holders are covered for physio. We’ll confirm your entitlements at your first appointment.
π Do I need a referral?
In most cases a GP referral is needed to start a treatment cycle – we’ll explain exactly what’s required when you book.
How it works
1. Book your initial appointment
Let us know when you call or book online that you hold a DVA Gold or White Card. If you have a GP referral, bring it along – if you’re unsure whether you need one, we can help clarify before your visit.
2. We assess and document your condition
Your physio completes a thorough assessment and creates a care plan that meets DVA’s clinical documentation requirements.
3. We manage all paperwork and approvals
We submit treatment plans and handle any prior approval requests for extended sessions directly with DVA. You sign where needed – that’s it.
4. We bill DVA directly
All covered sessions are invoiced straight to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. No bill comes to you.
Not sure if you’re covered? Give us a call and we’ll help you work out what your Gold Card or White Card entitles you to – before you even step through the door.
FAQ’s
What’s the difference between the Gold Card and the White Card?
π‘ Gold Card
- Covers physiotherapy for all conditions – not just service-related
- No limit on sessions for TPI (Totally & Permanently Incapacitated) holders
- Up to 12 sessions per year without prior approval for other Gold Card holders – need more? We’ll take care of the approval process
βͺ White Card
- Covers physiotherapy for accepted service-related conditions only
- Treatment must relate to your accepted disability
Do I need a referral to see a physio under DVA?
In most cases, yes – a referral from your GP is required to begin a DVA treatment cycle. TPI Gold Card holders may have different arrangements. Call us and we’ll let you know exactly what you need before your first visit.
How many sessions am I entitled to?
Gold Card holders (non-TPI) are entitled to up to 12 physiotherapy sessions per calendar year without prior DVA approval. If you need more, we can apply for an extension on your behalf. TPI Gold Card holders are not subject to the same treatment cycle limits.
Will I be charged anything?
No. By accepting your DVA card, we agree to bill DVA at the approved fee schedule rate and cannot charge you a gap fee. Your treatment is completely free of charge.
What if my claim is rejected or disputed?
This can occasionally be an issue with White Card holders. We’ll provide the clinical documentation you need to support a review or appeal with DVA.
