Home and Aged Care, & Rehabilitation Physio in Miranda & The Sutherland Shire
Linda is an experienced physiotherapist with more than 35 years of clinical experience, with a strong focus on home care physiotherapy, aged care rehabilitation, falls prevention, mobility decline, and post-hospital recovery.
After graduating from Sydney University in 1990, Linda has spent the past 17 years working within the rehabilitation department at Kareena Private Hospital, helping patients recover following surgery, illness, falls, and complex medical conditions.
Linda is passionate about helping people remain safe, independent, and confident within their own homes.
Why Patients Feel Comfortable With Linda
Patients regularly describe Linda as calm, caring, understanding, and thorough.
She believes one of the most important parts of physiotherapy is building trust and rapport with the patient first. Linda takes the time to listen carefully, understand the person’s concerns, and make sure they feel comfortable throughout the rehabilitation process.
Linda understands that many people recovering from surgery, illness, mobility decline, or falls can feel nervous, overwhelmed, or lacking confidence. Her gentle and supportive approach helps patients feel safe while gradually rebuilding strength, mobility, and independence.
“We build people up slowly at their own pace.”
Home Care Physiotherapy & Aged Care Rehabilitation
Linda leads PhysioCentral’s home care physiotherapy service across Miranda and the broader Sutherland Shire community.
She has a particular passion for helping elderly patients remain safe and independent within their own homes for as long as possible.
Home-based physiotherapy allows Linda to assess how patients move within their real-life environment, including stairs, walking areas, transfers, furniture setup, and potential fall risks.
This often allows rehabilitation to become far more practical, personalised, and meaningful to daily life.
Linda regularly helps patients with:
- Falls prevention and balance retraining
- Mobility decline
- Arthritis management
- General deconditioning following illness or hospitalisation
- Strength and endurance rehabilitation
- Bed and chair transfers
- Walking confidence
- Home safety and mobility advice
- Reduced independence around the home
- Post-surgical rehabilitation
- Post stroke
- Hip and knee replacement rehabilitation
“The goal is to keep people safe, independent, and confident within their own homes.”

Managing Complex Medical Conditions
Linda has extensive experience working with elderly patients and complex medical presentations.
She’s comfortable managing patients who may also be dealing with additional health concerns alongside their physical rehabilitation.
This may include conditions such as:
- Parkinson’s disease
- Diabetes
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Cardiovascular conditions
- Arthritis
- Cancer recovery
- Balance disorders
- Multiple medical co-morbidities
Her extensive aged care and rehabilitation experience allows her to safely adapt treatment programs to suit each individual patient’s needs, confidence levels, and overall health.
Linda’s Treatment Philosophy
Linda strongly believes that rehabilitation should focus on quality over quantity.
Rather than overwhelming patients with excessive exercises, she prefers to keep rehabilitation simple, clear, and achievable.
She places a strong emphasis on helping patients understand why they are performing certain exercises, helping improve confidence, compliance, and long-term outcomes.
“Once people understand why they’re doing an exercise, they’re far more likely to follow their program.”
Linda also believes rehabilitation should always progress at the patient’s own pace, with safety and confidence remaining a priority throughout the recovery process.
Treating The Whole Person
Linda believes patients are far more than just a diagnosis, surgery, or injury.
She takes the time to consider the whole person, including their pain levels, confidence, mobility, fears, emotional wellbeing, home environment, and medical history.
This whole-person approach helps Linda tailor rehabilitation programs that are realistic, supportive, and appropriate for each individual.
“Patients are a whole person, not just a knee replacement or hip replacement.”
Helping People Stay Independent At Home
One of Linda’s greatest passions is helping people maintain their independence and quality of life within their own homes.
She understands that maintaining confidence with walking, balance, transfers, and day-to-day activities can have an enormous impact on overall wellbeing, dignity, and mental health.
Linda works closely with patients and families to help improve safety, mobility, confidence, and independence while reducing the risk of falls and further physical decline.
For many patients, the ultimate goal is simple:
To remain safely and confidently in their own home environment for as long as possible.
