Elin is a UK-trained physiotherapist who’s been part of the PhysioCentral team since January 2026.
She has a calm, practical style and likes to keep things clear and straightforward. That means taking the time to work out what’s going on, explaining it in plain English and putting together a treatment plan that feels realistic.
She’s a confident hands-on therapist and may use manual therapy and dry needling when appropriate.
The overall aim is simple: help people feel better, move better and confidently get back to the things they want to do.
Like all of our physiotherapists, Elin treats a broad range of musculoskeletal aches, pains and injuries. The areas below are some of her particular clinical interests.
Special Interests
Back Pain & Sciatica Physiotherapy
Back pain and sciatica are now a growing focus of her clinical work.
She enjoys working with people whose symptoms are affecting things like work, exercise, sleep or day-to-day movement.
Assessment looks at more than just where it hurts. She’ll consider how the back is moving, what seems to aggravate symptoms and whether things like stiffness, muscle tension, weakness, nerve irritation or physical load may be playing a part.
Treatment may include hands-on therapy, mobility work, exercise rehabilitation and advice on how to gradually get moving again.
She also wants patients to understand what’s going on with their back, so they feel more confident about what they can do.
Knee Pain & Rehabilitation
Knee pain is another area she enjoys treating.
That might include problems involving the joint itself, kneecap, meniscus, ligaments or tendons, as well as issues linked to how the whole leg is moving and taking load.
She sees a broad mix of knee problems, from everyday aches and overuse injuries through to sporting injuries and post-operative rehabilitation.
Treatment is usually focused on improving movement, strength and confidence.
Ankle Injuries & Rehabilitation
Ankle and lower-limb injuries are also a regular part of her work.
This includes ankle sprains, ongoing instability, Achilles-related pain and stiffness after injury.
Rehabilitation often focuses on restoring mobility, strength, balance and control, with the end goal shaped around what the person wants to get back to.
For one patient that might be walking comfortably. For another, it could be running, gym work or competitive sport.
Sports injuries & Return to Play
Sport has been a big part of Elin’s own life.
Having competed as a professional rugby player, she understands the ups and downs of injury, rehabilitation and the frustration of being kept away from training or competition.
Her physiotherapy experience has also included athlete management and recovery at the Dubai Sevens, along with work with Southern Districts Women’s 7s in injury management, prevention and rugby-specific rehabilitation.
That background helps her relate well to active people who want a sensible path back to sport.
Post-Operative & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
She also has experience helping people recover after orthopaedic surgery, including hip, knee and shoulder procedures.
Rehabilitation is progressed step by step, with the focus on restoring movement, strength and function.
Mastitis & Blocked Milk Duct Treatment
Elin also provides physiotherapy for women experiencing mastitis or blocked milk ducts.
Treatment typically centres on therapeutic ultrasound, which has been shown to provide immediate, on-the-spot relief.
She’ll also explain when symptoms should be reviewed by a GP or other medical professional.
How She Works
Her approach starts with listening.
She wants to know what’s bothering you, what you’re struggling with and what you’d like to get back to.
From there, she’ll explain what she thinks is happening and talk you through the treatment options.
She combines hands-on treatment with exercise, movement and education, depending on what suits the problem and the person.
The idea isn’t just to help you feel better during an appointment. It’s to give you a clearer understanding of your problem and a plan you can keep working on between sessions.
A Broad Physiotherapy Background
Her training and early career experience covered a range of areas including orthopaedics, sports rehabilitation, emergency care and neurological rehabilitation.
That experience has given her a broad base to work from and helps her look at the bigger picture rather than focusing only on one painful area.
Ongoing Professional Development
She continues to build on her clinical skills through ongoing education and day-to-day patient care.
During her physiotherapy training, she received an Excellence in Practice Learning award in recognition of her performance during clinical placements.

Elin is available for physiotherapy appointments at PhysioCentral in Miranda on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
